The mission of the CAC is to unite the efforts of neighborhood churches in response to requests for emergency assistance. This wonderful organization serves our community and the residents of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody in zip codes 30327, 30328, 30338, 30342, and 30350.
The CAC is a non-profit organization that provides emergency financial assistance to individuals needing help due to circumstances such as job loss, illness, divorce, separation, high medical bills, etc. The aid is in the form of partial payments for rent, utilities, prescriptions. CAC also maintains a food pantry and a clothes closet to help clients with basic needs. Transportation needs are met by providing MARTA tokens or vouchers for gasoline. The CAC will make referrals to appropriate community agencies to assist individuals or families in cope with, resolve, or improve their current living conditions.

Holiday Thanksgiving Food Baskets – In November we will donate food for Thanksgiving Baskets. More information about this event will be available in late October/early November. Check back here for updates.
Christmas Children’s Gift Shop – At Christmas time we supply toys and new or gently used winter coats for children. Again, more about this event later.
Volunteers – We are committed to supplying volunteers for 4 hours per month. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The 13 year success of CAC as an agency, created, operated and supported by community efforts with only two paid employees attests to the possibilities available to communities to work together to come to the aid of neighbors in need of help and thus prevent not only the deterioration of individual situations but the community as well. Volunteers can assist in many ways such as helping in the office, sorting and bagging food, assisting with applications for the holiday programs. If you are bilingual, you can help with our Spanish speaking clients. Can we count on you???
